Welcome to Weird Walter’s Ice Creamery
Every summer, nothing tastes better than a nice ice cream cone—your favorite flavor piled high, topped with colorful sprinkles or a swirl of whipped cream.
For Walter, a golden retriever with a heart as big as his tail wags, and his brother Oliver, a fun-loving chocolate lab, that simple joy was everything. Long walks, chasing butterflies, splashing in sprinklers—all perfect ways to spend a summer day. But the best part? Finishing it off with ice cream.
Walter preferred peanut butter swirl. Oliver? Anything with bacon bits.
So when the opportunity came along, their family decided to do something special—something a little bit weird, a whole lot of wonderful, and completely them.
They built their own ice creamery.
Weird Walter’s Ice Creamery was born out of love for sweet treats, sunny days, and two very good boys who believe every cone should be shared, every day should be celebrated, and life’s just better with a little whipped cream on top.
Now, dogs and humans alike line up for scoops made with fresh ice cream from The Creamery at Fairview Farms. Their Super-premium ice cream is made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients straight from a family farm just 90 minutes away in Pennsylvania.

So… What is Butterfat? And Why Does it Matter?
Butterfat is the fat from cream that gives ice cream its rich flavor and velvety mouthfeel. The more butterfat, the creamier and more luxurious your scoop!
Butterfat is created by churning cream & milk, blending fat molecules into a smooth, dense base. To increase butterfat, you use more cream.

But here’s where it gets fun — there are levels to this scoop game:

🍨 Regular Ice Cream: 10–14% butterfat
(Most grocery store brands. Lots of air = less flavor.)

🍦 Premium Ice Cream: 14–16% butterfat
(Think Ben & Jerry’s or Häagen-Dazs.)
